Nashy & Lizzy recipes

Flafflar a la Nashy & Lizzy (recipe from http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2589/spicy-falafels) :

  • 2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • Some SWAG
  • 400g can chickpeas, washed and drained
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander (or use more cumin coriander because it's YUMMY)
  • handful parsley, chopped, or 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 egg
  • A whole lotta love 

    1. Beat the egg until it's beaten 
    2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan, then fry the onion and garlic over a low heat for 5 mins until softened. Tip into a large mixing bowl with the chickpeas and spices, then get someone else to mash it together with a fork or potato masher until the chickpeas are totally broken down. Stir in the parsley or dried herbs, with seasoning to taste. Add the egg, then use your infinite swag to squish the mixture together with your hands. 
    3. Add a whole lotta love and some swag and mould the mix into 6 balls, then flatten into patties (or do like whatever depending on how you want them to look. You can mould them into ducks for all I care THAT'D BE SO COOL.) Heat the remaining oil in the pan, then fry the falafels flafflar on a medium heat for 3 mins on each side, until golden brown and firm. Serve hot or cold with couscous, pitta bread or salad. CHAPATI 
Chapati a la Nash: 

  • a splash of flour
  • a smaller splash of water
  • a pinch of salt
  • some oil. 

MIX IT ALL TOGETHER (or maybe not the oil I dunno) then kinda work your magic and mould them into balls and kavla ut them and put some oil on them and roll them so they become long snakes and squeeze the oil out of them. Then do some twirvling with them and kavla ut them again and fry them until they're ready.
